Former Barcelona and Brazil football player Ronaldinho and his brother Roberto were arrested after entering Paraguay with fake passports. They are currently in custody. The retired footballer decided to participate in a football tournament at the prison where he is currently being held. The winners of the tournament won the trophy and a pig.
Ronaldinho was persuaded by other inmates to play with them. He looked jovial whilst he was playing as if everything in his world is okay. He is a typical Brazilian who likes to enjoy himself where ever he is irregardless of the situation.
Ronaldinho was nabbed soon after arriving in Paraguay when the authorities realised he was using a fake passport. It is reported that Ronaldinho was going to attend a charity even in Paraguay.
How did they discover the passport was fake?
It is a known public secret that Ronaldinho’s passport was taken by Brazil authorities during his tax evasion cases when some of his properties were attached. It was dump for a popular figure like Ronaldinho to use a fake passport as his issues are well known. It is also reported that the picture on the fake passport was significantly different from Ronaldinho as it depicted a younger Ronaldinho despite the passport being issued in 2020. As that is not enough, Ronaldinho was purported to be a citizen of Paraguay. It is easy for authorities to nab Ronaldinho as they knew without checking their records that Ronaldinho is a Brazil citizen and not Paraguayan.
Ronaldinho rose to fame in the 2000s when he signed for Spanish Club FC Barcelona and won the Champions league and La liga. He also won the World Cup with the Brazil National Team.
