Imbewu actress ‘kaMadonsela’ Brenda Mhlongo takes her last breath as she exits the show
It seems as if Brenda Mhlongo is kissing her on-screen character of KaMadonsela goodbye. Could she be leaving the drama series after it was reported that she was bowing out of the etv’s drama series Imbewu: The Seed after having a fallout with one of the producers on set.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that she lost her cool on set and attacked one of the producers, who is said to be MaZulu character played with Leleti Khumalo.
Several actors are looking for a way to jump off the ship of etvs drama series Imbewu: The Seed. However, in the mix of things, the showrunners weighed into the matter and did confirm that she was in a trance and had lost her cool. Closed sources and other actors from the drama series also confirmed the incident and revealed that the environment quickly became too toxic.

Although the etvs spokesperson downplayed the incident, it seems that KaMadonsela is bowing out from the drama series. In the latest teaser, she lost her breath after dreaming about Shongololo’s church being gutted by fire. Despite all being said, the showrunners or the actress are yet to weigh into the conversation that has seen them trending.

It seems as if official teasers also confirm her exit. She was last mentioned on 10 May and from there is not in the storyline. The teasers even fueled the daring rumour that she is bowing out of the drama series.
Undoubtedly, she is not the first seasoned actress who exited the show in the eleventh hour. This season alone, the drama series has witnessed more than four exits from its lead actors: Phindile Gwala and Nkanyiso Mchunu. The new management has been blamed for the mess. Confirmed reports have it that they lack professionalism and a very rude to the crew.
Rumour mill has it that the new management doesn’t want to be challenged or given ideas since two actors saw being chopped off from the cast after they spoke back to power. With this drop in viewership, Mzansi is more than worried that Imbewu: The Seed might be axed if its woes make all sorts of headlines.
