In The Wife, the Three20 character is a prisoner with psychiatric problems kept at bay with suppressing medication. Three20 found out that her cellmate had changed and probed for answers despite the psychiatric challenges.

Failure to take medication worsened her condition and caused mental instability; she later stabbed Nomusa to death after falsely accusing her of being a spy.

In her exit speech from The Wife series, Stella Dlangalala expressed her gratitude to show producers for the opportunity she was offered. She singled out fellow actress Lerato Mvelase for allowing her to be herself during scene shooting.
