Al Ahly coach and former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane picked his first win as Al Ahly manager in his first game against Al Makowloon in the 31st edition of the Egypt Premier League.
The legendary coach compiled a list of 18 players after a training session at the Touch Stadium on the island.
“Mosimane was keen to stop playing more than once and to direct the players with some technical instructions for each of them,” ‘African Club of the Century’ Al Ahly posted on their official website.
Pitso’s first-team boasts with stars such as Mohamed EI-Shennawy, Amr Al-Soulia, Aliou Badji, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Ahmed Fathy Geraldo, Mohamed Hani and Mohamed Shoukry.
After the Monday game, he is set to return in action against CNPPI on Wednesday.

The club posted on their Youtube account, “Our new manager Pitso Mosimane’s era started with a victory as the Red Eagles defeated Al Mokawloon Al Arab SC 1-0 on Sunday in the 31th round of the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo International stadium.”

In other news, Sundowns appointed Manqoba Mngqithi and Rhulani Mokwena to replace Pitso Mosimane.
The Patrice Motsepe owned club did not choose between the two long-serving staff but decided to appoint them jointly to manage the affairs of the first team.
Motsepe said the board was keen to appoint South African coaches to express its commitment to home talent.

Mamelodi Sundowns today announced the appointment of Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena as Joint Head Coaches with the opinion of Manqoba Mngqithi prevailing when there isn’t consensus.
