Like always, Gomora actors and cast members gathered as they celebrated ‘Mazet’ Siphesihle Ndaba’s second-degree graduation in style. For many years, Gomora cast members and actors have been one family. They have since made sure to be happy with fellow workmates when they celebrate their success and mourn with each other when mourning.
A couple of months ago, actress Zodwa ‘Sannah Mchunu’ won the DSTV Viewers Choice favourite actress, and they celebrated it wholesomely. They sang for her, and they danced as a family, leaving Zodwa in tears. The same celebration also happened when Mam Sonto ‘Connie Chiume’ won the Lifetime Achievement Award from SAFTAS.
When Sonto won the SAFTAS award, many actors gave speeches, and Mazet was one of them. She delivered a touching speech that almost made her cry, epitomising how much she admired Mam Connie. Fortunately, Mazet is not a mere admirer but a door as she is already doing the right things to be a great actress of Sonto’s size if life allows her. Today, her fellow workmates from Gomora are celebrating her second degree in a quest to be a better actress.

The twenty-five-year-old actress graduated from Rhodes University with yet another degree after her first degree. Now, Mazet graduated with an Honors degree in Dramatic Arts, which is a big step in building a solid base for her acting career. She celebrated with her classmates on graduation day before her family organised a big party for her. It’s been a fantastic week for Mazet, who received so much love and gifts for her graduation. She even received a beautiful white cake that matched her graduation outfit.
As if this was not enough, the Gomora cast family had to celebrate with one of their own. Arguably this qualification is what the management and producers of Gomora encourage all actors to have. It means that they would understand many processes other than acting alone. To celebrate this, they organised a big party to congratulate Mazet. Many of the cast gathered seated on their chairs with servers running around with drinks before Mazet talked to many of them. An exciting moment came when she had a little chat with Tshiamo as they celebrated. What a wonderful moment of inspiration and motivation Tshiamo had in Mazet.
