The Tokoloshe stories are popular in the African culture, and almost everyone is sure that the Tokoloshes exist. It is rare to see, but on several occasions, news broke out of people beaten by them. Many people are afraid of only hearing the name Tokoloshe, which details how feared Tokoloshe is in many societies in Mzansi.
During heritage month, Justin is hosting a programme of getting to know celebs by asking them hot questions. They get to ask the questions they’ve always wanted to but do not get a chance to. This discussion is how the Tokoloshe question came to the meeting leading to Unathi detailing her beliefs about the story. She even knows the best way can defend themselves from the feared monsters.

Justin wanted to ask a question to black people, and he doesn’t believe that Tokoloshes exist. In doing so, he wondered Unathi about the story, and Unathi had many answers to his questions. The former Idols SA judge believes 100% sure that Tokoloshes exist and are in other people’s homes. Despite not seeing them, she said she heard many stories of Tokoloshes and knows that some people have seen them.
Unathi described Tokoloshes as instruments of witchcraft that are short and scary to watch. She said that Tokoloshes are usually men, not women, and they are better fighters than men. When speaking on how one can defend themselves from Tokoloshes, Unathi detailed the main reasons why Africans started to sleep in higher places. She said that before modern beds came, people used to pile bricks and put the bed on top such that when Tokoloshes came, they won’t be able to climb.
