Daliwonga wows Mzansi with his voice in a viral video
Daliwonga Matiwane, popularly known as Daliwonga, recently released a short clip of himself singing with a boy’s choir, and Mzansi was left in awe. Dali sang with his sweet, jazzy, melodic voice, which brought an air of nostalgia. Daliwonga’s vocally gifted friends were not identified, but; there are calls from all over South Africa that a song should be released.
A lead vocalist backed up by many voices is almost traditional in Mzansi. Before colonization, it was a way cultures sang to rejoice and mourn; this tradition carried on throughout the apartheid regime. Today, this singing style triggers memories and gives people a sense of peace and reflection.
Boy’s choir
As we’ve mentioned, the choir’s name is not yet identified. Quite frankly, nobody is sure if it’s even an official choir or just a group of young boys singing with each other. We know that it only consisted of male vocalists, and there were seven of them. Their voices were in deeper tones of base and turner to complement his lead voice.

Since the video’s release, Daliwonga has posted the number of people who have reposted the video. Many people praised him for the body of work, despite how short it was. Usually, the singer sings amapiano songs; as much as many enjoyed them, hearing him in this element was unexpected and refreshing.
Children’s choir imitation
A group of young children were the most recent to imitate his singing. One of the children ( the one who sang the lead ) had a special foil on his teeth to make him look more like Daliwonga, as the artist loves his grills.
Other artists who’ve performed with young choirs
Famous and world-renowned African folk singer Bongeziwe Mabandla once performed his song Ndokulandela featuring a primary school choir. Something Soweto also took a large ensemble once, and they performed a number of his hit songs. Their studio session was made into a music video, and Mzansi gave it the title of being a dose of goosebumps.
