Video: Cape Town gang pounces and destroys The Toy Shop’s Luxury cars
In what seems to be a bizarre incident in Milnerton, Cape Town an alleged gang pounced at The Toy Shop’s luxury cars dealership and destroyed the whole showroom after their offer was turned down.
It is alleged that two men first entered the showroom and demanded two exotic cars but the offer was denied. In the wake of this hell broke loose as they went on damaging spree smashing all the cars in the showroom. The Toy Shop is one of the largest dealers of luxury cars and its located in Milnerton, Cape Town.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, the men are seen smashing windows of the exotic cars leaving The Toy Shop counting its losses after the incident.
Eight of the highly-priced cars that were damaged include super expensive cars like Ferrari, Lotus, Austin Martin, Mclaren and the Porsche Cayenne SUV.
However, it is also alleged that gang members who disembarked from two filled-to-capacity minibus taxis vandalised properties and assaulted staff members with guns. They fled the scene after massive destruction.
The Toy Shop is said to be accessing the damage made at the showroom. The cost of damaged cars is still unknown at the moment. Of late South Africa has witnessed widespread cases of gang-related incidents and Cape Town seems to be a hotspot.
Brooklyn police suspect extortion
Cape Town police revealed that they are closely monitoring and following all leads that will lead to the arrest and persecution of gang members who vandalised cars in an affluent dealership in Brooklyn in Cape Town.
The police’s Noloyiso Rwexana: “Eight vehicles were damaged. The possibility that this incident is extortion-related cannot be ruled out. Police detectives are following up on leads to trace the suspects involved in this incident. Cases of business robbery and malicious damage to property were opened.”
