It’s been a long time since the Ferguson films graced our small screens with a good show in The Queen. Many fans have fallen in love with the performance and most of its loving and talented characters like Brutus ‘Themba Ndaba’, Harriet ‘Connie Ferguson’ and Mlungisi. The excellent team has made a solid family behind the scenes and is now as close to each other. They spend a lot of time together in between shots, and video clips of their offset lifestyle and contact have become another show.
A few weeks ago, Cebo and Nksiyabo were caught tired and sleeping with scripts in their hands, leaving Mzansi in stitches. This time around, it’s no sleep time as most actors took outside to busk in the sunshine. The team was spread across the open ground with small groups sharing and discussing issues privately. It only took Mlungisi to shout out loud and walk to every small group making jokes. His engagement with Brutus impressed Mzansi the most.

It looked like a tiring morning when the cast had taken several scenes before they went out to busk in the sunshine. Actors had naturally paired with each other scattered around a place while chatting and catching up. Among them was the elderly duo of Brutus and a fellow elderly cast member who were sitting on chairs. Mlungisi approached them in high spirits as he treated the elderly, who started making jokes.
Mlungisi went on around greeting everyone with his fun step with tucked-in trousers making it all a comedy. After making a round, he came back and started to chat with the elders, who made jokes, as shown by how they laughed and their smiles. It was a refreshing moment to see how these actors relate to each other behind the scenes. It is indeed a family away from home.
