It’s hard to believe that four months ago, Themba Mabaso, popularly known as Themba Broly, was an unknown young man aspiring to win the R2 Million in the Big Brother Mzansi competition. He has teamed up with DJ Tira and Qwabe Twins to release some music for his fans.
Since then, he has been building his brand, and he has managed to stay relevant to his fans; now, he is developing himself as an entertainer.
He describes himself as an RnB singer and a tattooist on his social media profiles, and now he is ready to show us exactly what he is made of.
Themba shared a video of himself in a recording studio with the famous music producer Mthokozisi Khathi also known as DJ Tira.
The Ghost, as his fans have come to know him, captioned the video
“Afroburning with @DJ Tira and @qwabetwins fire tune coming soon.”
In the video, DJ Tira says that they are just giving us a taste of the song, “Uyang’faka noma uyang’kipha.”
True to Tira, he has created a great song with a touch of an old Kwaito feel.
Themba delivers excellent vocals on the song, and the Qwabe twins add their special touch we have come to love to the dance beat. The Ghost has been put firmly under Tira’s wing, they travel everywhere together, and he is now a part of the Afrotainmemt family.
DJ Tira has been promoting the track by asking fans on his Instagram when they think the music should drop.
Losing out to Mpho Wabadimo on Big Brother didn’t deter Mabaso from his dream of finally making music for the public.
Themba is out there full force building his brand. A few weeks ago, it was announced that he would be one of the hosts at the Afroteinment Marquee at the Durban July with DJ Tira, Tbo Touch and Bontle Modiselle.
The Ghost has won many hearts garnering a massive following during his BIg Brother stay. His fans have created a whole GhostNation movement, and it is huge. A few days ago, the movement bought Themba a new apartment.
These guys have been hard at work since he took the second runner up spot at the BBM season finale. They call him their president.
They have been raising money for him because they feel he deserves to have won the R2 million.
GhostNation has become a force to be reckoned with.
If there was any worry about Themba getting evicted from the BBM house and him disappearing after that, it looks like everyone can relax because he is here to stay for a very long time at the rate he is going.
