The Estate unsettled everyone, especially its fans when the show suddenly announced that it would take a short three-month hiatus.
Fans of the show can breathe a sigh of relief because the show is coming back and big time.
Season 3 announced a new storyline and a new family joining the show. Led by Dumisani Mbebe, who plays Melisizwe Nobengela, a shrewd businessman and a political fixer who is linked to the corrupt Castro Kamanga, played by Aubrey Pop.
The Nobengelas will see Lerato Mvelase playing Noxolo, the wife of Melisizwe, and they bring their three children Gcinekile played by Samke Makhoba, Vukani, played by Siya Xaba, and this family will see the much-awaited return of Anga Makubalo AKA NaaqMusik to our screens playing one of the children as Mzolisi.
The family is relocating to Johannesburg.
Season two ended in a cliffhanger where the main character Muzi Phakathwayo was killed. Fans have been waiting to see whether he will be in the next chapter.
This is what we know…
The channel shared some behind-the-scenes for their Freedom is not Free theme which essentially is their season 3, and there is no sign of Muzi. The character was played exceptionally by Sdumo Mtshali.
Fans have lost it over this, and it also deserves to be mentioned that Sdumo is playing a lead on Makoti at this point.
Also, in the statement released by SABC 3, now called S3, Lwandle, played by Joanne Reyneke, is facing problems from the death of her husband, who has left her in debt, so there is another clue.
It deserves to be mentioned here that Reyneke announced her exit from the show in March, but as we said, we will wait and see how long she stays now that her husband is missing in action.
Aubrey Poo will also reprise his role as the Premier. At this point, he is facing the wrath of the Thembalethu land association protestors who gather outside the Echelon gates. Mokoena, played by Dineo Langa, will face danger from their anger.
Matli Mohapeloa also returns as Lesiba.
Things will get extremely interesting in the new season, and the cast is excited to bring it to the viewers after disappearing for what is considered a long time by the fans.
The show was initially scheduled to return on the 1st of July, but now it has been moved to 18th July on the 7 pm slot at S3.
