Anele Zondo released her debut single Ingwe yesterday, Ingwe. She did not expect the song to blow up as much as it did.

Anele is doing incredibly well for herself: talented actress, insane presenting skills and now, a topping charts Rapper! Black girl magic at its absolute finest. Anele plays the role of Faith on the river. Faith is an annoying baby mama. She is certainly giving this role her best. Anele was on the show for the first few seasons and then left; reasons behind her leaving were never revealed, but it seemed she too wanted to grow her wings. Her career went from 0 to 100. She is now more recognized and more famous than ever.
Anele Zondo is 24 years old, but she makes waves and lives a life most only dream of. She prefers people call her “Ney the Bae”, this is her catchphrase, and many have grown to it. Anele is truly inspiring as she does not let anything limit her; she goes for it wholeheartedly if she wants something.
Anele is also a presenter.
After her role as Faith on The River, she moved on to being a presenter. She secured a gig on one of Mzansi’s most-watched music shows, Massive music. Anele is still a presenter on that show and is fantastic, her personality makes sense for the show, so the producers are not letting her go anytime soon.
On top of all the exceptional skills she has, she managed to release her rap song. She raps in IsiZulu, and the music isn’t just fire, but she tells her story of how she got where she is and honestly, what better way to say to people where you are from than in your mother tongue. Anele is a proud Zulu girl from a small town in KZN, Newcastle.
