Zimbabwe Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic has just named a squad that is set to take on Algeria for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers later this month. The star studded team is led captain Knowledge Musona who is based in Belgium.
Defense
Patson Jaure is one of the most experienced inclusion in the defense. He started in the 2014 Chan Tournament and ended up being included in the Chan team of the Tournament. Teenage Hadebe is another rising star who also earned a call up. Alec Mudimu, the left back who managed Mohamed Salah during the Africa Cup of nations is also included. Turkey based defender Teenage Hadebe is also added to the list and is likely to take the centre back with Pastson Jaure.
Midfield
Another notable inclusion is Marvelous Nakamba. The defensive midfielder has been key to Aston Villa’s survival fight in the English Premier League. The Ligue 1 is home to Marshall Munetsi who is playing Stade de Reims as a defensive midfielder. Munetsi has made 21 appearances for his club contributing two assists.
Strike force
Logarusic chose to go with foreign based strikers only. There is no inclusion of a striker from the castle premier soccer league.
French Ligue 2 top goal scorer Tino Kadewere has also been included. The striker has been on top form scoring 20 goals in 28 appearances in the French Second tier. He is currently on loan at Le Havre AC from Ligue 1 Side Olimpique Lyon which is also playing in the Uefa Champions League. Tino is expected to play the central role of the strike force. Knox Mutizwa who is based in South Africa is likely to deputise Kadewere and be included from the bench. England based Macauley Bonne who plays for Chalton Earns his first call up into the Warriors squad hoping to get his first minutes.
