Videos: Shootout at Chillas lodge near Hazyview in Mpumalanga Nelspruit leaves several dead
Videos showing a dreadful shootout at Chillas Lodge near Hazyview in Mpumalanga Nelspruit are circulating on social media. Unfortunately several are reported dead and one lady named Fundiswa is reported dead.
There are four videos with the first one showing crowds of people enjoy a live show performance by Kamogelo Mphela at the lodge. People are dancing and singing along to the performer.
Unexpectedly, things dramatically changed with joy turning to gloom. In the second video people are seen fleeing and jumping the wall in search of cover and trying save themselves. This is after the gunshots and in fear masses panic and cause a disturbing commotion. This leaves other injured and others crying for help.

The third and fourth videos are more devastating as one can hear gunshots and people crying. Some are hiding under tables and lying down so as to avoid being shot. A gang of males is seen fighting in the corner as people continue fleeing for their lives.
Bottles are being thrown everywhere and some men are busy beating other guys in a different corner. One male walks pointing what looks like a gun in the air.
It is yet not confirmed if this was a robbery or a gun fight between gangs. This is scary and disheartening. The lady confirmed dead was caught in crossfire and was shot and died at the gate. Reports say a few more died but these have not been confirmed yet.
It has become dangerous to arty in some crowded areas. Members of the public are urged to always be safe and drink responsibly. Such cases claim the lives of innocent victims who would have nothing to do with the fight or anything.
