On this day, many people celebrate the holiday by wearing school uniforms. Wearing a school uniform symbolizes you sympathize with and appreciate the people who fought for us. Uzalo’s cast showed up and put their best foot forward to commemorate the day.
Nosipho
Uzalo’s long-running character Nosipho had her hair separated into two sections and in space buns. Her hairstyle is typically a school-child hairstyle. For her outfit, she was wearing a school shirt and a tie. Over the two uniform pieces, she was wearing a black school dungaree.
A black dungaree was a famous school uniform piece back in the day. Most schools didn’t have colourful uniforms. Most girls wore black dungarees, then differentiating the school would be on the tie. Nosipho’s uniform representation was perfect for the era.
Madongwe and Madlala
Uzalo characters Madongwe and Madlala also pulled up wearing school uniforms. As we know, the two women play two church older women. They twisted the gears with the uniform.
Madongwe was wearing a blue uniform. A navy blue skirt with a long shirt and a silver pullover. Madlala, on the other hand, was wearing a maroon dress and a white school shirt.
Nonkanyiso
Nonkanyiso is another well-known character in the SABC 1 telenovela. In general, she looks very young. When she joined the show, she played the role of a school kid. Nonka was wearing a grey and blue school uniform.
‘Izingedo’ game
Nosipho posed in front of an ‘ izingedo ‘ game board. Izingego is one of the games that were very popular in the olden days. Today it is called an indigenous game perfect for aiding hand and eye coordination in a child.
