Actress Thuthuka Mthembu who plays the role of Nonka on SABC 1 most popular soapie Uzalo gives matric exam tips. Having matriculated in 2016 and gone on to study a degree in Television production, Nonka is in a better position to advise the matric class.
Dedicating to the Matric Class of 2021, she shared tips that she used in 2016 and made it through in the Partnership with Nelson Mandela Foundation and Old Mutual Foundation.

Managing Time
She revealed that managing time is the most critical; proper planning is essential to avoid rushing other peers.
Managing your time is crucial when preparing for examinations; you will need help from your teacher and other fellow students. Proper planning will avoid rushing others; you will get help on time and exactly when needed. Avoid playing catch up always because you will end up losing the important aspects of your examinations.
Practising
Practising helps; you will gauge how much time you need to apply concerning a subject when you practice. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect; you need to give yourself examination conditions and practice using past exam papers. You don’t want surprises in the exam.
Taking a break
It’s always important to take a break; rest is equally important as reading when preparing for examinations. Don’t go in an exam with a cluttered mind, do not try to grasp everything the day before exams. This is why planning is important; it allows you to rest the day before the exam to regenerate your mental strength. You need a clear mindset, so you need to give yourself enough rest.
