Scandal actress Nunu Khumalo scooped herself a Septimius Award for her role on Silver Seige as Noxolo Dlamini. She won in the Best African Actress category. Septimius Awards were held in Amsterdam, Netherlands and she stunned the stage with a beautiful acceptance speech. Not only did she say touching words but she looked ravishing.
Outfit of the night
Nunu looked very gorgeous with a subtle outfit with a touch of regal. She was wearing a v-neck shweshwe print dress with a tight waistline. Her makeup was full of glam. For her hairstyle, Nunu was wearing a blonde curly wig styled in a voluminous back ponytail.
Speech
When she accepted the award she started by greeting the entire audience. Nunu expressed she did not expect the award. She showed gratitude to the Septimius Awards for existing and honouring them. The actress later thanked her director Zuko Nodada for trusting her with the role.
What’s a good acceptance speech without a fun fact? Nunu shared she’s been in the acting industry for 10 years. For the first time in her acting career, she worked with a black cinematographer.

In the Best African Actress Category, there was a lot of stiff competition. Nunu won against actresses like Laila Eloui from Welcome Home. Asmara Galal from Half Crazies was one of the nominees. Osas Ighodaro from Battle: The Annana Story also forfeited the award to Khumalo.
Award dedication
After saying the speech she dedicated her award to women. Her mother and younger sister. Nunu also said the award is dedicated to South African women who are endangered. She was talking about women fearing for their lives and in stringent situations.
