Video: Public criticizes ‘irresponsible’ citizens during the President’s address
A video of people in a club dancing and drinking during the national address by President Ramaphosa has gone viral. People have reacted in different ways about this video. It is shocking that people were not even paying attention to what was being said but instead were enjoying themselves.
Some South Africans think the people in the video are not to be blamed and they were enjoying for the last time before the new rules kicked in. However, most feel that was really irresponsible considering how serious the cases have increased.
Here are the comments from the public who have different opinions:
“We are irresponsible shem… but the national anthem bafethu hibiriiii”
“Mzanzi is the best country in the world”
“They’re the reason why alcohol is banned”
“This is extremely irresponsible”
“South Africans deserve level 24”
“Here is when people get to the level of “I don’t care anymore”. It’s quite understandable, with a government that’s just thinking of locking people in houses without any plan to cater for them; squandering public funds without clear indications, allow the SAns to be!”
