Aston Villa celebrated surviving relegation in the English Premier League 2019/20 season with Zimbabwe international Marvelous Nakamba securing a chance to stay for another year.
A goal from captain Jack Grealish was enough to earn a point and draw away with West Ham United.
Aston Villa started well in the first half and had so many clear chances to put the game to rest. Most of the chances fell to McGinn who couldn’t hit the target.
The first goal off the game came courtesy of Grealish who released a shot at the edge of the box to give Villa the lead.
With Watford trailing 3-1 to Arsenal, Aston Villa had survived relegation. A deflected shot on Grealish’s shin gave the Hammers a point they did not need.
Nakamba was introduced with 25 minutes to go. He helped his team keep the draw they needed to remain in the premier league next season.
