There is a video described by many Zimbabweans such as former cabinet Minister Jonathan Moyo as one by a Lieutenant Colonel addressing other Zimbabwe National Army officers.
The address by the ‘colonel’ whose face is hid is instructing soldiers not to follow unconstitutional orders of Zanu PF politicians.
Part of the address read, “my address is specifically for those officers in the ZNA who are deployed in Zimbabwe towns. Its high time we ask ourselves if we are not the ones being used by robbers and murderers hiding behind a party. They are stealing our money. We once got USD 700 every month not this USD 76. Our duty is to defend Zimbabwe not Zanu PF. Everyone with a commission scroll knows that. The citizens of Zimbabwe are those who live in Cowdray Park, Mufakose and other suburbs not those who are hiding their families in UK and Switzerland. We have a duty not to follow unconstitutional orders. We are stealing our future.

Moyo shared the video on Twitter with the caption, “I’m sharing this video to promote peace & non violence to save lives & livelihoods. This #ZNA officer, a Lt Colonel who commands a Battalion, is appealing to soldiers not to follow unconstitutional or illegal orders to harm or kill civilians. He is right!”
