TV personality Katlego Maboe is making a comeback on the Expresso Show show from the 8th of August 2022.
Katlego’s problems started when his ex-wife Monique Muller made damning allegations against the presenter, leading to him being suspended from his job at SABC. His ex-wife claimed he cheated, and she contracted a disease that sprouted from his infidelity. At the time, his image was tainted, and brands most notably Outsurance disassociated themselves from him.
His return to Expresso will be more like a homecoming, and his co-host Graeme Richard will interview him about life after Expresso as a build-up to his return.
From 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., the presenter will be dishing out every detail of his journey. When he announced the news on social media, he shared a video of himself climbing a mountain.
“One thing you can learn from being at the peak is you look around and see there are other mountains taller than your peak…South Africa, let me reintroduce myself to you. I can’t wait to get back,” Maboe said in a video.
His fans are very excited about the presenter’s return to the screen. He has been with the show since the first episode and has been one of its most recognisable presenters.
One big elephant in the room is the issue of domestic violence. Domestic violence is a significant issue in South Africa, and many women fall victim to the hands of the men they trust in their lives. According to the presenter, he is siding with all the victims. He opened up about how he does not support domestic violence and wishes never to be a part of it.
Katlego’s fans in the comments expressed their excitement for the presenter’s return. Many of his followers said it was about time, and they had been waiting for this moment for some time. Others thanked God for being with the presenter up to this moment as it has been a very trialling time for him.
When Katlego was suspended from the show, a lot of people showed their support for him. Some even threatened to stop watching Expresso altogether to boycott the show and take him back quicker. Expresso even created a social media hashtag #KatIsBack to celebrate Katlego’s return.
