Celebrated musician DJ Maphorisa might have got his crush after all. If the latest rumours, videos and confirmations by Thembinkosi Lorch are anything to go by, Phori, as he is popularly known, could be dating media personality Thuli Phongolo rumoured to be dating.
Mzansi could be bracing for another power couple in the form of two DJs.
In a video trending online, Thuli is seen cosying up to Maphorisa, hugging her romantically. Tweeps have concluded it’s not a friendly but loving hug. Maphorisa kissed her on the cheek before they headed out while holding hands.

Thuli was quick to shoot down the rumours after she realised she was trending on social media.
She took to Twitter, “Y’all stop, we’re not dating! I’m so done with you guys! …and the truth remains, I’m single.”
However, Orlando Pirates football player Thembinkosi Lorch confirmed the two are dating on Instagram live with DJ Maphorisa. Lorch called Thuli ‘Thuli waPhori’ before the two burst in to laughter.
A look at Thuli Phongolo’s relationships
Thuli has always kept her love life private. She previously fended off rumours that she was dating Master KG. After commenting on Master KG’s post, Thuli was linked to the Jerusalema hitmaker. Rumours spread like wildfire that she was in love with the Limpopo based artist.
She later poured cold water on the rumours. “I’m dating MasterKG because I commented on his tweet! Guys, please respect me!” She posted.
She letter corrected herself as the comment was seen as offensive by some fans. “I love Master KG, but we’re friends, stop it! Stop it, lona! I mean, ‘respect me’ as in stop spending baseless rumours! Hayibo nina, angisadlali!” she said.
Pregnancy rumours
In one of her pictures, she looked pregnant and her followers were quick to suspect her.
“I don’t know why there’s a huge fascination with me being pregnant every day. ‘She’s pregnant. Well, I’m here to put you at ease, don’t hold your breath, guys! It’s not happening anytime soon. Hayibo, ngaze ngalingwa bo!”
