Boikie blew his money on cars, live soccer matches and a business deal gone wrong that would cost him his millions.
He narrated his story:
On Monday Sfiso called me about a car. Sfiso was my financial advisor. Whenever i wanted to buy something, Sfiso would transfer money into my account. So he called me about a car and we went to see it and i liked it. He transferred money into my bank account and i bought it on cash for R160,000.
I did not know how to drive but i learnt in six days and it thought i was perfect. I then bought a Nissan Xtrail for R235,000, a Toyota Prado for R300,000, a Mtsubishi Colt for R94,000 and a BMW for R213,000.
His friend Tegobo Tiza said his friend did not have a license for a long time but he got it after six months with all these cars.
“They threatened to fire me at work, and i told my supervisor, let me do the honours and quit,” Boikie narrated.
His mother said the only good thing he did was to build his house.
The house costed me R194,000 and furniture around R62,000.
Tiza said he once spent R10,000 in a day on Kaizer Chiefs apparel for himself and his kids.
“I attended all home and away matches that season,” Boikie said
His friend Tizo said, “He never used to watch matches alone. He picked up his friends from Zeerust and go watch the game. I think he spent about R500,000 on soccer matches.”
Boikie added, “I got a tender to deliver fish from Mozambique to Johannesburg. There were disputes because my business partners sold my cars. I don’t know how they sold my cars without permission. A fight broke between us and whenever we needed money the three of us had to agree to use it. I was shocked when i got a call that all my money had been removed. I went to look for Sfiso at the bank and i couldn’t find him. I was told by another lady that Sfiso worked for another bank in Sandton. I found him and asked ‘Where is the money?” He started an argument that resulted in a fight. He went to the back office and i couldn’t access him, then i left. I went to seek legal advice.”
Tiza added, “I could see he was in distress because the money was troubling him. It looked like there was someone in the bank stealing his money.”
Boikie said someone poisoned him:
I suddenly fell ill. I was poisoned with traditional medicine and i decided to join a Zionist church. I went to one in Kagiso to a prophet and he told me it was poison and he gave me medicine. God restored my life and i was healed. I eventually joined the church to get my life back. I decided to drop the charges against my financial advisor Sfiso.
