Denise Zimba had a stylish and modern traditional wedding. As a bride, she had to do a stunning Tswana dance. Her dress looked amazing. In the Tswana culture, women wear Seshweshwe. Shweshwe is the South African version of Ankara. All the prints and vibrant colours tap into the essence of the rich colours in Africa.
Tswana dancers were hired as part of the entertainment during the wedding. As they were dancing, Denise joined them and danced so well. Her mermaid shweshwe dress was perfect for her. On the bottom, it’s wide, thus allowing her the freedom to move her feet. The dress wrapped around her on the upper body, revealing her stunning and toned silhouette.
Mzansi reacts
Mzansi couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous her traditional wedding was. People also gave her a thumbs up for having a traditional wedding. Many people lose their culture, and she’s not one of them, especially since she is not married to a black man.
Guests
Family, colleagues and friends of the couple attended the wedding ceremony. Some celebrity guests who attended include the Highveld Stereo presenter Thando Thabele. Msizi Njapha, who produces the show Feel Good was also their guest. Presenter and actress Mbali Nkosi were also at the stunning wedding to help the couple celebrate.
White wedding
A week ago, Denise and her husband Jakob had their white wedding. They had an outdoor wedding in the gardens. Many stars showed up for the two, and the wedding was spectacular.
Her Career
Denise has lamented time and time again that South Africa doesn’t support her career. She has experience as a model, a presenter and an actress. She was also a musician with a girl group at some point. She even went as far as to express that she wished to leave Mzansi. Earlier in the year, she went back to making music again. She is currently still promoting her single titled Thobela.
