Uzalo’s Khaya Dladla Gets Engaged
Congratulations are in order for Khaya Dladla who got engaged recently.
Khaya who portrays the character of GC in Uzalo, said yes when Mercutio Buthelezi asked for his hand in marriage. The couple announced their engagement on Sunday and the congratulatory messages came flooding.
The couple has been together for some time now and they have decided to take their relationship to the next level.
Announcing the news, Khaya said, “So he proposed and I SAID YES,” as he showed off the flashy ring. Buthelezi also shared his excitement as he became a betrothed man, “Our moment has finally arrived and his officially mine.”
Before proposing, Buthelezi had hinted before that he plans on spending the rest of his life with the Uzalo actor when he referred to him as ‘his future.’ “Netflix and Chill with my future.”
Khaya Dlala revealed that the engagement was a surprise with friends and family in attendance. He said he thought they were just hosting an ordinary party and did not have any idea Mercutio was going to propose.
He revealed this when he narrated on his Instagram Story that the venue was already set for the engagement party with the decorations sealing the deal.
Khaya is not the only actor to find love recently, handsome Isono actor Bohang Moeko popped the question and his girlfriend of two years Shantal ‘Shanty’ Dietrich “said yes!”
Former co-star Dawn Thandeka King also announced her engagement. The actress, who played the character of MaNgcobo on Uzalo, last year opened up about her divorce from her husband of 15 years.
The star’s new man, who is an industry colleague Mlungisi Ndebele. The couple was spotted attending fellow actress Baby Cele and her husband Thabo Moloka’s membeso and they were wearing matching outfits. A ring on the Dawn’s right finger and one on her bae’s wedding finger could not be ignored.
