The bloody second episode of season 8 was nothing short of shocking. If you have been following the story since the new season premiered then you know that the angel of death has arrived at KwaMashu and collected big time.

The arrival of Vika saw a hijacking that turned deadly and cost us, Oliphant, while Lilly is fighting for her life at the hospital, after suffering serious bullet wounds. Oliphant is one of the trusted officers in the area and has been with the KwaMashu police for years. His death is a big loss.
The character of Oliphant was played by Neo Moshesh and Uzalo has paid tribute to him as he exited the soapie.

While we are all still trying to come to terms with Monday’s episode, we meet Constable Ntombehle Biyela . Thabisile Zikhali will make her first debut on Tuesday 8th of March, as the new and curious addition to Mondli’s crew. Thabisile is no newcomer to the industry. Many if you will remember her as the flamboyant sex worker named Sweety on the popular drama Rockville.
Mondli solicits help from enemies
In the coming episodes, Mondli will realize that the hijacking is not an easy case to solve and he will solicit help from unlikely people, people he considers enemies. The days of playing the hero are gone for Mondli, he realizes that his own police force is not enough to handle the crimes overwhelming KwaMashu.
Mondli’s failures
Mondli has been failing a lot of cases lately. He couldn’t solve the Nomzamo case, it took Nkunzi for Sbu to give himself in. He failed with the Mamlambo case and Mastermind had to intervene, will he solve this one?
Things we learnt from Monday’s episode
There are three things that we learnt from yesterday’s episode and they are 1. That Vika is a senseless killer with no conscience and 2. That there is a leak in the police department and 3. Anyone could receive the axe on Uzalo.
