The 8th season of Uzalo has been nothing but impressive; all the things we have been looking for in cutting edge storytelling have been packed into Uzalo’s season 8.
Lilly has been in the hospital since the beginning of the season. She was shot by the corrupt police official Ngobese in that fatal hijacking.
Now the story is developing because a few weeks ago, a drawing of Vika was created when Mondli decided to go all out in search of his officers’ attackers.
Since that incident, Lilly has been in a coma, and she miraculously woke up a few days ago. All are very happy about this, except Vika and Ngobese. Lily waking up means they are in trouble, and they will be exposed, so when Vika heard this, he ordered Ngobese to tie up loose ends.
She was under the pillow when we last saw Lilly suffocating her. Ngobese was doing that.
Mondli will save the day. Let’s hope he will do it on time.
The series of events has it that Vika is after Nkunzi, that is why Nkunzi is all worked up and asking to help Mondli with the search for Vika.
There is more story as we have been reporting about who Vika is. A whole new family is coming to terrorise Nkunzi and the KwaMashu community; anyway, this story is about Lilly’s survival.
Lilly’s storyline is getting even more interesting as we are now learning that she is a member of the LGBTQ community.
We met her beautiful, mysterious girlfriend recently. Lilly will have to talk to her family about her at some point in the storyline.
Uzalo is taking it up a notch by introducing this storyline and what is coming out to the family, especially her mother, who is already set in her ways.
It will be interesting to see how MaDongwe handles this news; ok, we are getting ahead of ourselves; let’s first see if Mondli saves her from Ngobese, who is currently taking Lilly out.
