Ukhozi FM presenter Tshatha Ngobe said that he tested positive for Coronavirus.
Tshatha shared the news on-air, saying: “I wish to inform Ukhozi listeners that I have been working from home. As you would know, on Tuesday, I posted a video of myself taking on Instagram getting tested for the virus. The test came out positive.”
The SABC confirmed a Coronavirus case at its KwaZulu-Natal office on Tuesday.
“The affected employee has been working on-site since the lockdown and is now under quarantine while being closely monitored,” its acting spokesperson Mmoni Seapolelo said.
The office has been closed for decontamination and will reopen on 1 June.
