Generations The Legacy is one of the most prominent soapies in Mzansi, and the story has gone through so many shocking storylines that give us goosebumps to this day.

Of all those storylines, two stand out as the most horrifying and traumatizing on the show. These storylines were so intense they left an everlasting impact on the viewer’s mind.

Nolwazi’s shallow grave

The first was when Nolwazi Buzi, played by Thando Thabethe, was buried alive by Thabiso, played by Matli Mohapeloa, in 2017.

Nolwazi was dating Fana Cele who was Jack Mabaso’s son and Sphe’s brother. Fana was Thabisos lawyer who deliberately lost his case by turning in evidence against Thabiso. Thabiso returned to pay revenge.

The shocking twist

Thabiso decided that his plan was not working to get to Fana, so he came up with the most horrible dream. He kidnapped Nolwazi and then dug up a shallow grave that he buried her in while she was still alive. Thabiso put a camera in the box to monitor the progress of his work.

Mazwi and Fana helped each other find the grave in a deserted bush and found Nolwazi just minutes before she lost her life. The scene was so horrible and shocking, it stayed in the viewer’s mind for weeks after that.

The second time was relatively recent when Mazwi found Sphe hanging from a tree from a rope.

The shocking scene happened during the White Rose killer era. Winston, who was Sphe’s patient turned boyfriend, turned out to be the white rose killer. He kidnapped Mia,starved and beat her for days while he locked her in a cage like an animal.

Sphe followed soon after when she realized what was happening. Winston kidnapped her as well and then strangled Mia to death in front of her. Winston then left Mia’s decaying body in the dungeon with Sphe for days.

It doesn’t end there.

After weeks of torture, Winston then took Sphe to a deserted field and hanged her on a tree with a rope.

Mazwi was running from the police at the time because he was a suspect in the same case, but he ended up calling Luyolo to come and help him after he found Sphe almost choking to death and hanging from a rope on a tree.

These two events have to go down as the most traumatizing plot twists in the history of SA Soapies.
