Two Metro police officers have been gunned down in Hammarsdale in KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday morning.
They had been traveling to work in a private vehicle, which was sprayed with bullets.
The two officers have been in service for two years and were dressed in full uniform.
Mortuary services are retrieving their bodies and Metro Police say they’re not sure of the motive just yet.

eThekwini Metro Police Senior Superintendent Parbo Sewpersad said they have very little information at the moment as the scene is still active.
The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation and SAPS are reportedly on the scene for further investigations.
