Jada Pinkett Smith revealed to People Magazine that Chris Rock asked her out after romours that she was divorcing with Will Smith.
In an interview, Jada added that Chris later apologized having realised the divorce news were just rumours.
“He called me and basically he was like, ‘I’d love to take you out.’ And I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ He was like, ‘Well, aren’t you and Will getting a divorce?’ I was like, ‘No. Chris, those are just rumors.’ He was appalled. And he profusely apologized and that was that.
In the aftermath of the call, Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at during the 94th Academy Awards on March 27, 2022 after he joked about his wife.
