Recently Sangoma, singer and one of Mzansi’s most decorated actresses, Letoya Makhene, took pen to paper to explain why she decided to be lesbian in a detailed letter addressed to her musician father, Blondie Makhene. She also thanked him for his unwavering support.

In the long letter on Instagram titled “Dear Daddy”, Letoya went in-depth on the struggles she faced after revealing her lesbian status to the nation. You said that some would be vicious about my newfound love. I remember when you also said that they would have YOU to deal with! You know how much I’ve dealt with in my journey through life, daddy [sic],” she wrote.
