Thembi Seete and JR were announced as new judges to join the upcoming 18th season of Idols SA. Mzansi Magic announced that Randall Abrahams and Unathi Nkayi would not be part of the panel. Thembi took it to Instagram to express her feelings about joining Somizi Mhlongo in the long-running reality singing competition.

The programme host and producer Proverb broke the news as he posted on Instagram, saying, “Your judges for Idols SA season 16 are: The incomparable sis Thembi Seete producer extraordinaire JR and the seasoned and multi-faceted Somizi.

The actress talked about what she will bring to the table. “It feels like a dream. It’s as if someone woke me up and said, don’t worry, you had a wild imagination. Ka nnte ha Ke kgolwe. Thank you.” In a video, Thembi said, “…This is your sister Thembi Seete; hey, You are looking at the new judge of Idols season 18”. And she talks about how much she loves to be on stage and her passion for music. And this is what she will bring to the table come season 18.
