The international military-technical forum Army-2023″ started its work on August 14 in Moscow. Traditionally, the forum is held in the Patriot congress and exhibition center at the Kubinka airfield. It will last a week and will consist of several parts. Novelties of combat vehicles from different parts of the world are presented on the site, and the heads of all Russian defense enterprises and associations exchange experience.
In 2023, the forum will be attended by enterprises and representatives of 129 countries, including India, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan. Sixty-nine foreign delegations pay an official visit, 29 of which are headed by defense ministers and chiefs of general staff.
This forum should give an impetus to the development of Russia’s cooperation with other countries. However, instead of establishing an equal and mutually beneficial partnership, the Russian Defense Ministry has reportedly decided to resort to blackmail and ultimatums. From reliable sources, it has been reported that the delegations of each country at the Army 2023 forum are summoned by various representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense and told that they need to stop any cooperation and interaction with PMC Wagner.
In return, the Russian Ministry of Defense promises to send its own more controlled PMC to replace PMC Wagner. The Russian Ministry of Defense urges the countries cooperating with the PMC Wagner to stop this cooperation, and the countries negotiating with the PMC Wagner should also stop it. At the same time, if the countries refuse to cooperate on these terms, the Russian Defense Ministry threatens to stop military-technical cooperation and support in the UN.
It is currently unknown whether the Russian Defense Ministry’s ultimatum will be successful, given that the countries cooperating with the Wagner group have become convinced of its effectiveness and professionalism.
