Former Gomora actress ‘Gugu’ Velile Makhoba’s job hunt is over after she lands another top job on the screen. Gugu joined Gomora about seven months ago, and her stay on the show did not last as fans wanted. She joined as Phumulani’s daughter, who followed him from the rural areas to Gomora. Velile’s best moments came after Phumulani’s death when she moved to MamSonto’s house to stay with her. She formed a strong relationship with Tshiamo, and the two became fan favourites.

After her grandparents pressed Sonto to allow her to return to the rural areas, Gugu had to give in, and that was her exit from Gomora. When Gugu left Gomora, she left tears all over as Tshiamo, Sibongile and Sizwe all left heartbroken. On the other side, she had become a fan favourite, and her exit broke fans’ hearts.

Indeed, Velile had not caught the attention of fans and fellow actors alone. She had won the hearts of many people across Mzansi, including several producers of other dramas. It did not take Velile two months to get another acting role after he exited from Gomora. Indeed, Velile has become an outstanding actor that many dramas seek.
