Innocent Sadiki and Millicent Mashile, the well-known media personalities, have publicly shared the profound emotional impact that the loss of their parents had on their lives. In a recent discussion on their YouTube channel, the twins recounted the tragic events of their childhood.

Early Loss of Their Mother

Innocent Sadiki and Millicent Mashile experienced the heartbreaking loss of their mother when they were just four years old. They later faced the death of their father during their teenage years. The premature death of their mother, who was only 26 years old at the time, left them with many unanswered questions. The cause of her death remains uncertain to them, as they were told she died due to electrocution.

The Trauma and Its Effects

Millicent expressed how this tragedy caused significant trauma for her. She confessed, “The first couple of years as a child, I don’t remember them at all. The only memories I have are of me in my 20s. Now that we are older, we have so many questions that are unanswered.”

She also shared her fears about her own mortality and the future of her children. “I remember having so much fear at 25. I was like, I’m going to die at 26. In my head, that’s when life ends. The same thing with my children, when my children turned four. I was like, they are not going to have a mother.”

Innocent Sadiki and Millicent Mashile Struggling with Memory Loss

Innocent revealed that she too struggled with memory loss as a result of the emotional trauma caused by her parents’ deaths. She said, “It’s the memory loss for me as well. I didn’t realise that until I was married, until I had children. I know my mom from a picture; I don’t know her as a person. I have zero memories of my mom.”
