Thapelo Mokoena, a renowned South African actor and entrepreneur, has left Molitva restaurant to pursue other ventures.
The star of the movie Fatal Seduction shared his departure from the restaurant on his Instagram account on Wednesday.
He said his exit from the restaurant was a long-awaited decision.
“I am writing to officially inform you of my decision to step down as a partner from Molitva Restaurant. This decision, though not easy, has been overdue,” he wrote.
Mokoena said he enjoys creating and delivering diverse lifestyle experiences that customers have warmly welcomed.
“Despite the precious memories we have built together, changing situations and a shift in my personal priorities require a reevaluation of my professional obligations, especially with Molitva Restaurant.
“I am moving my focus to new opportunities that match better with my current aims and ambitions,” he said.
His personal brand, image and name, Mokoena said, will no longer be associated with the restaurant in any way and his office will not be reachable for any inquiries about it.
“I express my sincere gratitude to my corporate networks, business partners, friends, colleagues, and groups for their constant support.
“To the former and current members of the waitress team, I thank you for your unwavering support, commitment, and hard work.
“To the faithful customers, I appreciate your ongoing support of my lifestyle offerings.”
Mokoena’s partnership with the restaurant that offers various Mediterranean dishes, fresh, organic, homegrown fruits and vegetables began in 2021.
Located in The Cradle of Humankind, Molitva’s menu mainly features a variety of mezze- and tapas-style foods from different Mediterranean cuisines, but also caters to those who want something more filling, homemade pasta, a range of salads, a choice of grills and a number of delicious burgers.
