The actress is almost always in the news with new roles or expanding and promoting her companies. Thando Thabethe has added another leg to her business empire as she launched her own Production company with her friend.
Thando Thabethe launches her own Production Company
Taking to her Instagram, Thando Thabethe shared that she has teamed up with Tumelo Kwena Maimela to launch a Production company. Their company is called Redwood Productions. They can not wait to work on productions that will be shown on our screens. The name is taken from the Redwood trees, the tallest trees on earth and that can withstand storms, winds and floods.
Thando Thabethe’s partner Tumelo Kwena Maimela is a known Television producer at Parental advisory. She is also Thando Thabethe’s best friend and has worked on productions like Abafana Ababi, Abomama and many more.
When talking about her reasons for having her own Production Company, Thando Thabethe said she has always wanted to produce shows. She started the company wanting to create a production where she would be featured in. The show will be telling relevant stories and creating work for young industry talent. Also, she stated that fans would be seeing shows from Redwood Productions soon, and they will be relatable stories.
Other business ventures by Thando Thabethe
Apart from being an actress and production company partner, Thando Thabethe has her hand in other businesses. She owns a clothing line for shapewear for women called Thabootys. The actress opened a shop at Glen Shopping Centre recently for her shape and loungewear. She joined Uber Eats, and her clothes can be delivered with Uber Eats.
The actress also has been making substantial career moves in her acting career with roles in productions like Reyka and Blood Psalms. She is already preparing to break through in the Global market and recently had an article written by an International blog, Variety.
