Skeem Saam newcomer Thabiso Molokomme is already winning young women’s hearts as Paxton at Turfloop high. It seems that Thabiso is as charming as his character in Skeem Saam.
Skeem Saam published a video of the young man going around the Soapies offices giving all his colleagues chocolate in appreciation of national compliments day.
Thabiso recently joined Skeem Saam as the son of Mr Kgomo, the Turfloop hospital’s superintendent.
In the series, he is problematic and gets into trouble for vandalising the Welcome to Turfloop high before meeting him.
In real life, though, Thabiso is an Operations Management student at The University of Johannesburg.
All the people were very appreciative of the youngster’s gesture.
Thabiso is no newcomer to the screen. Before, he was a Yotv presenter, and he is moving up in the entertainment industry.
We could see him moving around in the video, and we spotted some of our favourite stars waiting to shoot their scenes; Lebohang Oliphant, who plays his father and Lerato Marabe, who plays Pretty Seakamela and Helen Motsuki, who plays the disgruntled Melita.
The video gave us a little glimpse of what happens behind the scenes, and Paxton thought it would be a great idea if he started blogging about what happens behind the scenes on Skeem Saam.
We agree with him; we would love to see more of our actors before the shoot and the process they have to go through every day.
Thabiso has become a fan favourite since appearing on Skeem Saam early this month.
He plays a troubled youngster who has not recovered properly from the trauma of his sister’s tragic murder. Paxton failed him, and he had to repeat a grade, so his parents have brought him back from Johannesburg, where he was attending school.
He is unhappy that his classmates are younger than him and causes trouble at every opportunity.
We can’t wait to see where his story will lead, but for now, we can all see that his colleagues have welcomed him, and he feels right at home.
Catch Thabiso on Skeem Saam every weeknight at 18h00 on SABC1.
