The Mzansi Magic hit faith-based series aired the last episode of their first season a day after Christmas, and as always, fans were not disappointed. The episode was as drama-filled as the rest of the other episodes. With the show producers announcing that this was the end of the first season and not saying when the second season will air, fans have been left curious.

Many fans of the show made their feelings clear that they want the second season soon. Many of them said that the show was all they looked forward to watching every Sunday; therefore, their Sundays would not be the same. Some Umkhokha viewers asked the production team to not change their cast on the second season.
Umkhokha season 1 finale leaves fans crying for more
In the last episode, we saw Mamzobe getting caught red-handed while redirecting umkhokha to the Mthembu family. After Xolile’s suicide, Mamzobe thought that the bad omen was tied to Sphamandla, and that’s why she let Mabusi marry Spha. However, her plan turned to ash when the bad omen fell on Nobuntu, her daughter, and she killed herself.
In a bid to not let her plan to kill Sphamandla and Mabusi fail, she discharged herself from the hospital. Her first deed was to go to her in-laws’ place with her lap dog driver and plant the soil from Xolile’s grave in the Mthembus yard. Spha and Mabusi caught her red-handed and called a meeting of the church elders where they made her confess to all her crimes. The police arrested her, who had been hiding the whole time, but Mamzobe left both households with a burden. To break the umkhokha, they would need to exhume Xolile’s body and lash it. But Mamzobe had already exhumed the corpse, and no one knew where to find it.
