The Zimbabwe Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has advised Zimbabweans who seek to be repatriated back him to supply their information. An Ethiopian Airways plane is leaving on the 13th of June for Harare.
Zimbabweans were informed through the following letter:
Please be advised that Ethiopian Airlines has agreed to repatriate stranded Zimbabwean nationals to Harare on Saturday, the 13′” of June 2020. The Airline has indicated that the stranded Zimbabweans can begin paying the airfares (AEDS000) with effect from today at its Offices in Dubai. Further details about the repatriation processes are being worked between the Airline and the Embassy.
In the meantime, Ethiopian Airlines is requesting names and passport details of the people who want to be repatriated. The details have to be submitted by the Embassy. In this regard, those who have not yet registered their names for the repatriation process should urgently submit their first names, surnames, National ID and passport numbers to the Embassy at [email protected]. Those who registered but did not indicate that they were going to pay for their air tickets should inform the Embassy that they can now afford to pay. Please submit copies of the bio data page of your passport (this also applies to those who indicated that they were able to pay for the airfares). Both Ethiopian Airlines and the Government of Zimbabwe want the details to facilitate the repatriation process. Please spread the information as much as possible.
