Death has been around ever since the earth was formed, but every time someone dies, it is a very painful and unusual feeling that no one wants to be friends or experience, so losing someone close to you, a family member, friend, or even a role model can cause heartache.
With that being said, we can all agree that 2020 was not a great year for starters. No doubt Covid 19 took a toll on the world and tears were shed because of it.
We can all agree that life hasn’t been the same since then and we have lost some of loved one to it. Talking about role models, many of them have been laid to rest as death took them while we still needed them, while their kids, families needed them.
Here is a look at some of our most loved celebrities who died in 2020 and left Mzansi with scars.
The untimely death of Thandeka Mdeliswa came as a shocker to Mzansi. Her death made all sorts of headlines not only Mzansi but the world at large. Well barely a few months after her death one can say Mzansi is still in mourning.
Mdeliswa was confirmed dead after she was shot point-blank by one of his brother’s friends. It was established that she was shot at close range after trying to settle out a scuffle between her brother and his friends. She was shot at her home in Mpumalanga.
Twala’s death made all sorts of headlines and no doubt that her death came when we all least expected it but we can all agree that it’s Gods time and there’s nothing much we can do about it. The multi-award-winning actress and entertainment icon died last year.
Mary Twala, who happens to be the mother of Somizi Mhlongo left a legacy no one can erase.
Amongst those who died in 2020 is veteran radio presenter Bob Mabena. Mabena died last year and his cause of death was said to be cardiac arrest.
Another shocking death of V-Mash which many would recall her from jam alley. She also passed away last year and it was said the reason for her death was natural causes.
She always kept her life under wraps to the extent that many were surprised when they heard that she was pronounced dead. Her death shocked many as she was not publically declared sick despite being hospitalised.
She lost her battle with diabetes late last year
He was best known for his stellar performances on Mzansi wethu, Uzalo, and Rhythm City. The seasoned actor succumbed to heart failure according to reports. However, we can all agree that 2020 robbed us of several souls that we loved most and that kept us entertained. This year we all hope and pray for dreams of brighter days.
