Mbalula mocks Macron and wife. South Africa Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula appears to mock France President Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte Macron’s relationship and age difference. The Minister posted an awkward picture of Macron and his wife, showing an ageing and skinny Brigitte. He posted a second more appropriate picture of the pair. Mbalula deleted the pictures after an hour.
Mbalula’s explanation
Asked if he was mocking France President Macron, Mbalula said, “How is making fun about this pic? i didn’t say anything.” He did not also explain why he chose the picture and to post them.

The readers and those who made comments about the post expressed their disgust at the behaviour of the government Minister. The minister might face disciplinary procedures if he is found to have broken diplomatic relationships as a result of his behaviour. Mbalula is an outgoing person. The former ANC youth leader likes the limelight.
Macron’s marriage to Brigitte was bizarre as Emmanuel Macron married his class teacher because he has always admired her. The couple has a 25 years age gap with Brigitte being 67 years old and Emmanuel Macron being 42. They are not the only bizarre Presidential couple when it comes to age. United States president Donald Trump is 73 years old whereas his wife Melania is 50 years old.
