We all go SBWL at all things SMEG. From the gorgeous toasters to their fridges. Basically, SMEG is a one way ticket to the ultimate luxurious kitchen that we all dream of. Hell, they’ve even collaborated with Dolce n Gabbana! The definition of a luxury brand. But what if that luxury costs R940, 000 for a fridge? Even Somizi was shocked!
Somizi took his followers on a mini tour of the SMEG shop when he went shopping for new SMEG appliances of the Dolce n Gabbana line. The personality had gone in to shop for a kettle and toaster but was in for a shock! Upon questioning, the sales lady then revealed that the fridge which is in SMEG’s Dolce n Gabbana line costs R940, 000, just R60, 000 short of a million dollars. In shock, Somizi asked if the fridge comes with food supplies which all things considered is a good question.
SMEG appliances have proven to be a favourite for South Africans with the brand breaking the internet more times than we can count. The brand has been on the list kitchen dream gadgets for a while now. It comes as no surprise that Som G was out shopping for SMEG as he has shown his love for all things kitchen and glam. His cooking show on 1 Magic, Dinner with Somizi, proved to be a major hit and it eventually spilled over to a cook book which fast became a best seller and was recently South Africa’s best selling food and beverage book above international chef, Jamie Oliver’s cook book.
Somizi has also announced that he has a major announcement to make on the 14th of February. Although he hasn’t said what it is, you can be sure it’s something quite entertaining for all of us. Definitely a Valentines gift for the valentineless.
