While the year started off well with Somizi’s book being a best seller, it hasn’t been as glorious everywhere for him. The personality has found himself being harangued by journalists for comments on his marriage and the end of his show. In retaliation, Somizi insulted them and shared the contacts of the journalists calling him and asked his fans to return the favour.
The recent cancelation of his show, the rumors surrounding his marriage have all left him in public scrutiny. This resulted in journalists hounding him and calling him. This did not go down well with Somizi who felt his privacy was being infringed.
“I’m not one to be bullied especially by media. Azishe. I’ll make you just as famous,” he said.
Somizi went on to share the journalists with journalists names and contacts on social media asking his followers to call them nonstop like they do with him. Unfortunately this did not go down well with his followers and friends as well as the SA National Editors Forum. The Idols SA judge was asked to apologise to the journalists which he straight out refused to do. Somizi went on to Instagram to share a video where he said he wont apologise although he admits he was wrong to share the journalist’s contact.
Anele Mdoda shared sentiments on how journalists shouldn’t call them like they are friends.
“This thing of journalists only wanting to text to find out what’s happening in our personal lives like we are friends will result in someone losing an eye. Surely if YOU want the story you need to hunt it down, do stake out in trees, long lenses, helicopters…you know EFFORT.”
Meanwhile Mohale Motaung has denied allegations that his marriage is over. When asked what he does for a living on social media, he said he is married for a living.
