Celebrated media personality Somizi saw himself topping the trends after revealing that he turned down a million rand offer from a friend. Somizi has it that he felt it wasnt right. The bubbly media personality is said to have turned down the kind gesture of Bathu CEO Theo Baloyi, who wanted to give him a million rand as a token of appreciation.
Somizi revealed this in the recent episode, Living the Dream With Somizi. No doubt this gesture has seen him being hailed as a friend’s keeper. To his fans and followers, he has gained more trust and faith. Despite the drama, he remains that celebrated media personality we all love to hate.

Somizi has it that Bathu CEO Theo Baloyi offered him a whopping million after sharing a series of his sneakers. The posts were made on Instagram after the celebrated media personality first turned down Theo Baloyi’s request to post them on social media. His viral posts resulted in a boom in sales.

He has it that he turned the first directive because he doesn’t want to be told what to do on his platforms.
“So I took the pair of shoes and didn’t wear it for like three months. Then wore it; Theo used to probably like sell 1 000 sneakers or 500 sneakers per month if that. Since then… sales. Theo says, ‘I want to thank you, you’ve made my brand big’… Theo gives me R1 million cash. I say to Theo, no, it doesn’t feel right; I reject… I haven’t worked for this money; it’s yours.”
The latest season of Living The Dream with Somizi has been more exciting and exposing. He has been firing shots and spilling the tea in several scandals that have seen his name being implicated.
