Somizi campaigns against bullying in Mzansi
Somizi has taken his step in the campaign against bullying in South Africa. This comes after a 15 year old girl committed suicide after she was bullied by fellow students from Mbilwi Secondary School.
Taking to Twitter, Somizi has posted the message:
“Bullying is real and especially in the social media streets. Twitter being the most toxic app. It is never too late to be kind. Bullies can be helped only if they accept that they need help.”
Members of the public are pushing for the #JusticeForLufuno movement which is aimed at making the public of the consequences of bullying. People are agreeing with Somizi and sharing their stories on the platform.

The stories are aimed at showing South Africans that anyone can be bullied or can bully someone. Here are some of the comments shared:
Ï was bullied at High School, doing grade 10 by two boys. I decided I would revenge and steal a gun so that I shoot the boys in front of other students who saw me being bullied. However, I did not do it but it affected me a lot.”
Ï I totally agree with you Somizi, We need to help bullies to find the right path. It is not nice to be bullied. I have been there and I know how it feels and the worst part are the scars bullying leaves.”
“Bullying is not fair. Let us stop it by starting to love ourselves enough to share and be kind to others. Let us be humble because we choose peace. Rest in Peace Lufuno.”
Somizi is standing up against bullying and particularly bullying on social media because he was bullied and called all sorts of names on social media. Cases of bullying require a solution because the consequences associated with this act are horrible.
