Imbewu: The Seed was debuted in 2018 and has managed to make all sorts of headlines of late with its intriguing storyline that has wowed Mzansi. The drama series was created by Duma Ndlovu, who also happens to be the SABC2 drama series Muvhango.
And of interest is that celebrated South African actress Leleti Khumalo happens to be the executive producer of the drama series. She works alongside Anant Singh.
On Imbewu, she stars as MaZulu, who happens to be calling the shots when it comes to the Bhengu’s business. However, she has fought many battles on-screen, especially with her son Nkululeko. We can all wonder how she balances her on-screen character against her off-screen due.

The celebrated actress is best known for her Sarafina role. She furnished her craze for acting with theatre arts before making it to small screens like those before her. When it comes to small screens, she went down in the history books as she starred in the two most-watched drama series in Mzansi: Uzalo and Generations. She has also starred in award-winning films like Hotel Rwanda and Yesterday, the latter.
For her on and off-screen roles, the actress is paid between R95 000 and R120 000 per month. However, Lindiwe falls short of Khumalo’s salary despite being hit soapie.
She made all sorts of headlines when it was reported that she had been promoted to be the executive producer of the drama series.
Best known for her Thandaka on Mvunga, she went on to join The River as Lindiwe. A robust businesswoman who is power-hungry and knows well how to get what she wants. Mzansi has been wondering how much she earns for her Lindiwe character and being an exectutive producer. The actress has a take-home salary between R85,000 and R95,000 per month.
