South African actress and gospel artist Joyce Ledwaba is known for playing the role of Joyce Maputla on SABC 1 soapie opera Skeem Saam. Joyce is in arms with actress Joy Mbewana and artist Nozipho Nguse over sleeping with Ben 10s boyfriends arrangement.
Majoy, as she is known in the gospel music circles, revealed that in May, she invited actress and the president of the Cultural and Creative Industries Federation of South Africa (CCIFSA) Joy Mbewana to a function she was hosting in Limpopo. Joy Mbewana and singer Nozipho Nguse were supposed to participate in the event. She revealed that things turned south when the pair who had been booked a room appeared with boyfriends and started demanding another booking to allow them to sleep in separate rooms.
Since they were coming from far, I offered to book a double room for them. We arranged they would arrive the day before the event and sleepover. I was shocked when Joy and Nozipho arrived in a partying mood with their younger boyfriends; they started to demand another room booked from my pocket to sleep with their boyfriends at an extra cost that I wouldn’t meet,” she said.
A verbal and physical altercation erupted between Nozipho and the host Joyce Ledwaba leading the duo to leave without attending the event and fulfilling their contractual obligations.
“Joy is abusing her power and doing everything possible to bring me down; after the fiasco, she terminated my federal membership because I refused to book them rooms to sleep with their younger boyfriends.”
CCIFSA President Joy Mbewana denied the allegations and revealed that they were accompanied by their children, who drove them from Joburg to Limpopo on the day in question.
“When we arrived at the event, we realized that she failed to book us decent accommodation for us as agreed, so she ended up fighting with Nozipho. The boyfriends in question were our children who drove us from Joburg to Limpopo,” Joy said.
Nozipho’s story failed to corroborate with Joy’s comment; she claimed that the boyfriends in question were bodyguards since they travelled at night.
