Skeem Saam actors Cornet Mamabolo and Shoki Mmola are starring in a new movie called Love Heist. The film was released on Showmax on the 20th of January 2022.
As you all know, Cornet plays the role of Thabo Maputla (Tbose) on the popular soapie Skeem Saam.
Tbose left Temurfloop after getting married to Mapitsi because he got a good job offer in New York.
In real life, though Cornet is a very busy man, he took a break from Skeem Saam to look after his insurance company and shot a movie.
Yesterday Cornet revealed on his Instagram page that he was in a movie. The movie is called Love Heist. The movie premiered yesterday on Showmax, and from the showreels, it looks like an action-packed story.
There has not been much said about this movie yet, but the movie stars are excited about it. It’s a movie that involves women stealing from men. Shoki, who plays the role of Celia Makunutu on Skeem Saam, is also in this movie.
Even Shoki (Makunutu) took to her Instagram page and posted “A movie. I suppose the best thing to do right now streams the movie on Showmax and enjoy it.”
It’s good to see these actors outside of their normal characters and challenging themselves. It’s also refreshing to see that these stars don’t just make the news for public indecency only, as we know that Shoki was caught walking around in public places, dressed inappropriately.
A lot of other local actors are in this movie. A Bloemfontein actor named Vincent Tsoametsi is portraying a Mayor in this movie.
It looks like we won’t have to miss our Tbose too much on our screens. He is still very much on our screens. We will just be enjoying him outside of Skeem Saam for now.
